James “Jim” J. Klimek

James John Klimek, 75, of Independence, died Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse.

James was born December 23, 1948, in Whitehall, to Everett and Verna (Marsolek) Klimek. He served in the U.S. Army and was employed with Clipper’s IGA and Pilgrims in Independence prior to his retirement.

Jim is survived by many cousins, other relatives and friends 

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a brother, Ron; and a sister, Sharon “Shari”.

Graveside services and burial will be held Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Independence. Father George will officiate. Military rites will be conducted by Sura-Wiersgalla American Legion Post #186.

Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall is assisting the family with arrangements.
