Julie A.Weaver

Julie Ann Weaver, 61, of Arcadia, passed away peacefully in her sleep, November 14, 2024, after a courageous battle with Glioblastoma.

Julie was a compassionate spirit, full of love, laughter and resilience. She touched the lives of all who knew her. Julie was born in Arcadia, December 26, 1962, to Bruno and Marlene (Salwey) Weaver. She graduated from Arcadia High School and became a Certified Nursing Assistant. Julie worked for many years as a CNA in La Crosse and Arcadia, loving the work and the residents. More recently, Julie was employed at Ashley Furniture, where she took great satisfaction in her work.

Julie was immensely proud of her son, daughter, and granddaughters and spent countless hours with them playing board games, crafting, going to the park, and eating delicious home-cooked meals. She enjoyed filling her home with vegetables and fruits from her garden, teaching her children and granddaughters important life skills, and sprinkling in love and laughter. Julie adored her many pets over the years and held them close to heart, especially Winnie and her beloved late Maggie. Recently, Julie found a deep connection with her church community at Christ Lutheran Church in Arcadia.

Julie is lovingly survived by her children: Jay Schock of Arcadia and Chelsey (Jake) Stonesifer of Lake Nebagamon; granddaughters: Zoe, Mya and Ava; mother, Marlene; and siblings: Nancy Weaver, Bill (Karen) Weaver, and Wendell (Julie) Weaver; along with many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bruno Weaver; and her sister, Sandy Weaver.

The family wishes to extend its deepest gratitude to the staff of Hope Stay Assisted Living in Holmen and St. Croix Hospice for the support and compassion extended to Julie and her family during her final months.

A funeral service will be held Friday, November 22, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., at Wozney-Killian Funeral Home, 1378 East Wilson Ave., Arcadia. Family and friends are welcome for visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
