Kevin Kampa

 

Kevin Kampa of Independence, passed away peacefully, July 20, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. His loving wife, Louise, was by his side.

Kevin was born December 30, 1965, in Cudahy, to James and Janet (Olson) Kampa. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Kevin also enjoyed working with machinery and knowing how the mechanics worked. He could fix anything. Kevin was very smart and had wisdom and knowledge, which helped so many people.

Kevin was listed in the National Guard and then later was employed at Ashley Furniture for many years. He also worked at Nelson in Arcadia. His last job was at Indee Metal Works and really enjoyed working with Ken Halama.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Louise; Dean (Asia) and Anita; mother, Janet Kampa (Ernie Falkenberg); Craig Kampa; Susan and Brad Gamroth; Debbie and Kyle Pokorney; his nieces and nephews: Payton and Jordan, Mackenzie (Cody) Easton (Ryan); and his youngest nephews: Bowdyn, Dalton, Elaina (Drew). He was preceded in death by his father, James Kampa.
