Linda Pientok

Linda Pientok, 75, of Independence, died Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse.

Linda was born December 22, 1945, in Newton, KS, to John and Margaret (De Vore) Berry. She met Francis J. Pientok while serving at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, KS. They were married June 25, 1966, in Wichita. He died September 17, 2009.

Linda enjoyed sewing and going on quilting retreats with her friend, Jane. She worked as a CNA at Tri-County Memorial Hospital and on the ambulance.

Survivors include five children: John Pientok of Independence, Jean (Jim) Heller of Augusta, Jeanine (Doug) Munden of Eau Claire, Joseph (Rebecca) Pientok of Westfield, and Jennifer (Michael) Peterson of Whitehall; a sister, Kathie (Jim) Rabe of Valley Center, KS; 13 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and her dog, Zeba.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a brother, John Richard Berry.

Visitation, with a prayer service, will be held Friday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., at Edison Funeral Home, Independence. No other services will be held.
