Lynn A. Thompson

Lynn Arden Thompson, 90, of Blair, formerly of rural Ettrick, died Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Grand View Care Center in Blair.

Lynn was born June 27, 1934, in Chicago, IL, to Harry and Vivian (Peterson) Juul. She married Eddie Thompson, July 2, 1977, at North Beaver Creek First Lutheran Church in rural Ettrick.

Lynn was a person who loved life, was adventurous, wasn’t afraid to take on or try most things and loved working with people. All her jobs, The Bridal Shop, Arrow Shopper, First Lutheran North Beaver Creek, A to Z store and Blair Veterinary Clinic were customer oriented and she found great joy in helping her clients, customers and friends. Lynn even had worked as a driver/aide for Grand View Care Center where she lived the last eight years of her life. One of Lynn’s greatest joys in life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. You could tell she was filled with joy when they visited her.

Lynn is survived by her husband, Eddie; sons: Glen (Debbie) Hughes, Ray (Dianne) Hughes, Craig (Sheryl) Hughes and Bill Hughes; six grandchildren: Shane (Tammy) Hughes, Abby (Mike) McDonnell, Melissa Feit, Scott (My’Lisse) Hughes, Moriah Mackey and Monica (Adam) DeLePena; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lynn was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Lois (Clyde) Lytle; and a daughter-in-law, Dianne Noel Hughes.

The family would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to the staff of Grand View Care Center and the staff of St. Croix Hospice for the loving and compassionate care they gave Lynn.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at North Beaver Creek First Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery, both in rural Ettrick. Pastor Barbara Knutson will officiate.

Friends may call prior to the service from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

Jack Funeral Home in Blair is assisting the family with arrangements.
