Maria R. Salas

Maria Rios Salas, 78, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2020, at Mayo Clinic in Eau Claire.

Maria was born July 1, 1942, in Cuidad Acuña, Mexico. She was the daughter of Leonarda Rios Salas, who passed away in Nov. of 2007, in Del Rio, TX.

Maria was a loving mother who enjoyed being around people and enjoyed working at Gold’n Plump in Arcadia. Throughout her life, Maria’s motto was “If I could only work harder to make more money.”

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Turner of Winona, MN.; sons: Javier Delacerda of Del Rio, TX., and Roland Delacerda of Arcadia; her brothers: Rogelio Salas of Weslaco, TX., and Arturo Salas of Chicago, IL. But most of all, she will surely be missed by her oldest son, Roland Delacerda of Arcadia. He will deeply miss her. To Roland, Maria was not only a mother, but also his best friend.

At the request of her son, Javier Delacerda of Del Rio, TX., Maria’s remains will be cremated and sent to Del Rio, TX.
