Marilyn A. Boberg

 

Marilyn Ann Boberg, 87, of Arcadia, died Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Gundersen Tri-County Hospital.

Marilyn was born April 18, 1937, in Alma, to Lester and Marie (Duellman) Conrad. She graduated from Arcadia High School. On June 25, 1955, she married Ralph Boberg at OLPH Catholic Church and together, they were blessed with 41 years of marriage before Ralph’s passing.

Marilyn dedicated her life to her family. She was a devoted farm wife, helping Ralph on the family farm while raising their eight children. After her children were grown, she worked outside of the home as a cook and then a hand solder/inspector at Benchmark Electronics. She loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and volunteered alongside her sister, Velma, as a ticket taker for various sporting events for over 30 years.

Marilyn was a member of St. Ann’s society at OLPH church, the PCCW at Holy Family, and a Lioness. She loved going on the Heritage Club trips, playing cards, gardening, and baking bread and coffee cakes. She also enjoyed volunteering for many years in the Arcadia schools, church, and the hospital.

Marilyn is survived by her children: Robert (Carrie) Boberg, Donald (Cheryl) Boberg, Bernard Boberg, Brenda (Mark) Lund, Ruth (Kevin) Manley, and Dean (Stacy) Boberg; grandchildren: Eric Boberg, Stacey (John) Geimza, Tom Boberg, April (Aaron) Mckeeth, Matthew (Jenna) Boberg, Sarah (Adam) Stencel, Jacob (Ashley) Lund, Lindsay Lund, Tyler (Emily) Manley, Collin (Devin) Manley, Benjamin (Cassidy) Manley, Damian (Aly) Boberg, and Kaiden Boberg; great-grandchildren: Carter, Kinley, and Madalyn Giemza, Jacy and Justin Boberg, Delilah Boberg, Archer and Temperance Mckeeth, Kallie, Karoline and Kendall Boberg, Sawyer, Hudson and Braxton Stencel, Miles Lund, Nolan Foster, Cooper, Corbin, Tatum and Ava Manley; sister, Bonnie Liethen; sister-in-law, Marie Conrad; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Marie; husband, Ralph; sons: Thomas and John; brothers: Bernard, Francis, Arman, Marvin, and Eldon; sisters: Elaine Conrad and Velma Davey; and many other relatives.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 11:30 a.m., at Holy Family Parish. Reverend Kyle Laylan officiated. Marilyn was laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery, Arcadia. Pallbearers were Marilyn’s 13 grandchildren.
