Mary A. (Rebarchek) Prokop

Mary Ann (Rebarchek) Prokop, 73, passed away peacefully, Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN, with her loving family by her side.
Mary was proud to be a Christmas Baby, born December 25, 1951, in Whitehall, to Edward and Evelyn Rebarchek. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Whitehall High School. Mary continued to live in the Whitehall area her entire life.
Mary was a hard worker. She was a dedicated full-time employee at both Goldn’ Plump, Arcadia, and Trempealeau County Heath Care Center, Whitehall, where she had many wonderful friends. In 1995, Mary had an accident that led to the amputation of her right arm below the elbow. Following this incident, Mary continued to work both jobs, never complaining, and always finding a way to get things done! Mary retired in 2021.
Mary loved to travel with her dear friend, Patricia Leque. They enjoyed countless adventures during their many road trips. Mary was never afraid of an adventure or trying something new, including parasailing.
Mary is survived by her loving sons: Troy (Tami Keenan) Rebarchek of Independence, Tracy (Maggie) Skwierczynski of Eau Claire, and Cory (Serena Barrett) Prokop of Whitehall; along with her grandchildren: Dayton and Dayne Keenan, Isabel and Ava Skwierczynski, and Cira Davis; and her dear friend, Patricia Laque.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family would like to thank Abbott Heart Institute for the excellent heart care they provided Mary over the years and during her short battle with acute leukemia.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 29, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Whitehall-Pigeon Rod & Gun Club, N39355 Johnson Valley Rd. Family, friends, and coworkers are invited. The family requests no flowers/plants.
