Paul T. Andre

 

Paul Thomas Andre, 68, of Independence, died Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Gundersen Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall.

Paul was born July 17, 1955, in Arcadia, to Franklin and Marjorie (Abts) Andre. After completing high school, Paul enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a switchboard operator during the Vietnam War. After Paul was honorably discharged, he worked a number of jobs before retiring from Ashley Furniture after 25 years.

Paul was a man of many passions and talents. He had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. His skilled hands could create beautiful pieces of art through his woodworking, leaving a legacy of his craftsmanship. One of his greatest joys was going on morning and evening car drives with Cleone, soaking in the wonders of nature and observing the local wildlife. 

Paul will be deeply missed by his wife, Cleone; sister, Faye Olson; brothers: Mark and Todd Andre; nieces and nephews: Nick Andre, Heather Andre, Jessica Stinson, Wendy Mugrage, and Michael Mugrage; and numerous other family and friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Marjorie.

A Mass of Chrisitan burial will be held Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at Holy Family Parish in Arcadia. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at church.
