Phoebe J. Phillipson

 

Phoebe Jean Phillipson, 79, of Whitehall, went home to be with Jesus, Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Trempealeau County Health Care Center in rural Whitehall.

Phoebe was born November 1, 1941, in Taylor to Arnold and Rhena (Martin) Simonson. She married Robert Phillipson, March 12, 1960, in Waukegan, IL. They shared 51 memorable years of marriage together prior to Robert’s death, October 24, 2011.

Phoebe worked many years at Western Dairyland as an Executive Administrative Secretary. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and watching her husband, Bob, work in his gardens. She devoted her life to raising her children and loving the grandchildren. Phoebe loved the company of her doggy, Little Lady Jean, who was so dear to her. Phoebe was a wonderful mother who will always be cherished and remembered by her children, family and friends. She is now Our Angel.

Phoebe is survived by four of her children: Allen (Kris) Phillipson of Lake Wissota, Colleen (Steve) Radsek of Alma, Richelle (Roger) Ekern of Pigeon Falls and Stuart Phillipson of Alma; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Arnold (Ruthie) Simonson; three sisters: Phyllis Linnell, Sonja (Dale) Lyngen and Annabelle (Steve) Stenberg; a brother-in-law, Jerome Neitzke; several nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Phoebe was preceded in death by a son, Cheyne; a sister, Barbara Neitzke; and a brother-in-law, Gerald Linnell.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2021, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall. A graveside service will follow at the Old Whitehall Cemetery in rural Whitehall with Pastor John Oscar officiating.

Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall is assisting the family with arrangements.
