Raymond H. Fritsch

Raymond “Ray” H. Fritsch, 80, of Galesville, was born September 18, 1945, in Spencer, WI. He was called back home, May 18, 2026.
Ray dearly loved his family, praying nightly for each one of them. He was LOVED so much by his entire family.
After serving his country in the U.S. Army overseas, Ray became an A&P-IA Aircraft mechanic, eventually starting his own business, Ray’s Aircraft Services, at Holland Airpark, operating for over 40 years.
Gun safety was also a big part of Ray’s life. At a young age, he taught all his children everything about the safety and operation of guns. He taught Hunter safety courses for over 20 years and so very much enjoyed working with young kids.
Ray worked hard and supported Ernie Komperud, who started “Andy and Stevie Komperud Youth Day’s”. They continue to be held annually.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Elizabeth; daughter, Michelle; and her daughter, Alexa; sons: Beau (Lordes) and their sons Alexander and Jan, Nathaniel (Heather) and their children Emberlie, Rowan, Asher and Ayla, Cole; and his husky/German Shepherd, “Ollie”, whom Ray enjoyed very much; and Brittany (Jake) and their children Jacob, Johnathon and Kenzie; and of course “Tom” who walked into our lives and became a son. Ray is further survived by his beloved brother, Don (Judi) who was always there for his Baby Brother Ray.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a service of remembrance held at 12:00 p.m., at his hanger, located at N8748 Garfield Road, Holmen.
“Thank you Ray, Dad and Grandpa for the grand memories, all the laughs and great times.”
“We Love You and will Miss You Always.”
Great River Cremation, La Crosse, is assisting the family in their time of loss.
