Rebecca “Becky” Wirth

Rebecca “Becky” Wirth, 69, of Whitehall, died Wednesday, May 1, 2025, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse.

Becky was born September 20, 1955, to Laurel and Eileen (West) Wirth in Casper, WY. Becky succumbed to a long battle with COPD.

She was an independent spirit who lived and passed her way. Becky always called Wyoming home, but was fearless in life, traveling and working across the country. Becky’s family moved her to Wisconsin for the last two years of her life to be with her son and his family. An avid dog rescuer, Becky provided forever homes for many dogs who will be waiting for her at the gates with wagging tails.

Becky is survived by her brother, Robert Wirth of Casper, WY; her daughter-in-law, Nichole Dunn; grandchildren: Jasper (Mary), Wylie and Cali Dunn of Whitehall, WI; and extended family and friends all across the country.

In addition to her parents, Laurel (Ellen) Wirth and Elieen (Don) Robbins, and siblings Ron (Paula) Wirth and Marylyn Wirth, Becky was preceded in death by her son, Jeramy Dunn.

Becky’s childhood and lifelong friend, Cheryl, will escort Becky’s ashes on a last trip to a place with a beautiful view. Per Becky’s request, no services will be held. Jack Funeral Home of Whitehall, WI, will be assisting with arrangements.
