Ricky J. Parris

Ricky Jay Parris, 61, of Chippewa Falls, and formerly of Independence, died Friday, February 12, 2021, in his home.

Ricky was born October 9, 1959, in Bitter Creek, TN, to Robert Parris and Reba Jean Demumbra. He was raised in Georgia until about the age of 25 when he moved to Wisconsin.

Ricky enjoyed being outside, hunting, fishing and had the deepest love for his grandchildren. Ricky served in the U.S. Army. He always had a dream of being an airplane pilot and would sneak off as a child to watch the planes leave the airport. Ricky loved to take his kids fishing, made the best egg sandwiches and had the most contagious laugh. Ricky was a wild and free man that had a wonderful spirit, spoke his mind and loved with his whole heart and soul.

Ricky is survived by three sisters: Kay West, Lisa Ojo and Karie Pickens; a brother, Danny Queen; three children: Chastity Parris, Dylan Parris and Joshua Parris; two step-children: Andrea Johnson and Joshua Bryant; and twelve grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Ricky was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Glen Parris; and a sister, Bridgette Parris.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall is assisting the family with arrangements.
