Roger W. Barenthin

Roger W. Barenthin, 76, of Galesville, passed away September 8, 2026, at his home in Galesville.

Roger was born December 11, 1949, to Nona (Fillner) and Howard Barenthin. Growing up, he worked at Barenthin Oil and was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Order of the Arrow. After graduating in 1968, he went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Roger was awarded the Vietnam Service metal as an SP4 in the 101st Airborne.

He is survived by his mother, Nona; siblings: Peggy and William; brother-in-law, Tom LaRue. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard; and sisters: Janet and Barbara; brother-in-law, Mark Pyron.
