Rolland “Rollie” J. Hammond

Rolland “Rollie” J. Hammond, 76, passed away October 25, 2022.

Rollie was born August 1, 1946, to J. Robert Hammond and Elizabeth (Drugan) Hammond. He was raised on the family farm in Little Tamarack, Galesville. Rollie moved to Texas in the early 1980s for work, and there he met and fell in love with Leana. They were married September 9, 1988. Rollie inherited a ready-made family which would eventually grow from two stepchildren to six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-granddaughters.

Rollie is survived by his loving wife, Leana; his stepdaughter, Linda (Willie) Brown; his siblings: Gary (Sharon) Hammond, Bev Schaller (Kurt), Fay (Ron) Mitchell, Bob (Donna) Hammond, Leone (Ritchie) Berger, Lois (Dave) Anderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, J. Robert and Elizabeth Hammond; and his brother, Donnie; his stepson, Kenneth; and his great-great-granddaughter, Grace.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Centerville Curling Club, W24854 State Rd. 54, Galesville.
