Scott L. Hoff

The family of Scott Lee Hoff is deeply saddened to announce his passing on September 30, 2025, at the age of 68.

Scott was born May 22, 1957 in Northfield, to Jackie A. Hoff and Barbara (Peterson) Hoff. In his youth, he enjoyed farming alongside his parents, stepmother and his sister, Tammie.

Scott worked many years as a welder for Jim’s Truck and Trailer and Nelson Global where he built not only a career but also lasting friendships. In later years, even after “retirement”, he went back to work pouring concrete with his sons, something he truly enjoyed.

At home in Frenchville, Scott could often be found in his garage working on projects, petting his animals or sharing jokes. He loved spending time with family and friends, visiting with neighbors, mowing the lawn and doing what he jokingly called “12 oz. curls”.

Scott is survived by his wife, Diane Hoff; his five children and their families: Alex (Angie), Heidi (Justin), Jade (Ashley), Tanner (April) and Mariah; his stepson, Adam (Shayli); 12 grandchildren: Hunter, Henry, Riley, Karli, Lylah, Aubrey, Erik, Elijah, Noelle, Isaiah, Zander and Addie; and his sister, Tammie.

Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents, Jackie and Barbara; his stepmother, Sue; a brother, Jodie; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of Scott’s life will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Ettrick Town Hall in Ettrick.

Jack Funeral Home in Blair assisted the family with arrangements.
