Sharon K. Hizer

Sharon Kay Hizer, 74, of Blair, died Friday, November 3, 2023, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse.

Sharon was born July 2, 1949 in Whitehall, to Milton and Amy (Rogness) Tranberg. She attended elementary school and high school in Taylor. Sharon worked at Clipper’s IGA in Whitehall and also did home health care.

Sharon is survived by a son, Douglas Hizer of Wisconsin Rapids; three grandsons: Damien, Donovan and Dawson; three brothers: Dale Otterson of Blair, Paul Otterson of La Crosse and Dean Otterson of Tomah; three sisters: Linda Bautch of Blair, Beth O’Hara of St. Louis, MO, and Lori Otterson of La Crosse.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Douglas Schuch; and two brothers: Bruce and Keith.

A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held at a later date.
