Sharon K. Jahr

Sharon Kay Jahr of Whitehall passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Sharon was born August 1, 1957, in La Crosse, to Art and Irene (Marsolek) Kulig. She married Jim Jahr, May 1, 1982, at Saint John’s Catholic Church in Whitehall.

Sharon was a graduate of Whitehall Memorial High School and a lifetime resident of the Whitehall area. She attended Western Technical College for Early Childhood Education and dedicated 30 years of her life to taking care of young children.

Sharon enjoyed camping with her friends and her winters in the warmth of the south with her sisters. She loved life’s simple joys while being with her constant companion, Jim.

She was as vibrant as sunshine and life of the party. Her pride and joy were her four grandbabies and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Sharon lives on in the hearts of her husband, Jim; her son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Toni, and their children: Maverick, Jayda, and Brody; as well as her daughter, Jennifer; and son-in-law, Mike, and their child, Sayner. Sharon will also be forever cherished by her brothers and sisters: Jim, Sandy, Tim, Shirley, Scott, Rick, and their families. She is now with her parents, Art and Irene, and her big sister, Sue.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, June 14, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., at Saint John’s Catholic Church, with burial in the Lincoln Cemetery, both in Whitehall. Father George will officiate.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall where a Christian prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m., followed by a parish rosary.
