Steven “Steve” J. Bautch

 

Steven “Steve” J. Bautch passed away Friday, February 14, 2025, after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer, under the care of Aurora Hospice in Neenah, WI.

Steve was born March 29, 1954, to Rudolph and Sally (Dorava) Bautch. He was raised on the family farm in rural Whitehall. Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool and trap shooting for which he won numerous awards and trophies. After his retirement, he enjoyed wood working and became an excellent cook, sharing many meals with neighbors and friends he made while living in Neenah.

Steve held a variety of jobs during his life beginning with Gundersen Chevrolet in Pleasantville and Whitehall Packing. After becoming an electrical engineer, he worked for Nelson Global for many years including two years spent in the United Kingdom. After moving to Green Bay, he worked for PowerMation and Spectrum.

Steve is survived by his five siblings: Sherry Pabst, Juanita (Steve) Neitzel, Brian Bautch, Roger Bautch and Cyndi (Mike) Aubart; nieces: Diana (Kelly) Tempski, Meredith (Corey) Jurowski, Summer (Aaron) Wahl, Jessica (Sam) Mancilla, Brittany Larson and Rikki (Alfonso) Bautch; nephews: Adam (Dawn) Neitzel and Jacob Bautch; grandson, Caden (Alex) Newton and their children: Braxton and Arianna; and great nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral and burial will be at a later date.
