AHS boys third, girls sixth at Logan meet

Distance events and relays helped the Arcadia boys track team take third while the girls team was sixth at the La Crosse Logan Invitational last week Tuesday.

The Raiders won both of the distance races with Nestor Badillo taking the 1600 crown and Jose Monroy winning the 3200. Cole Lockington finished behind only Badillo in the 1600.

The Raiders also won the 800 and 1600 relay races with Jordan Nelson, Brett Rebhahn and Joe Fernando running on both. Drew Teske was the fourth runner on the 1600 relay and Jordan Rotering was in the 800. 

The team’s 3200 relay team took second with Andy Monroy, Peyton Nelson, Ben Kolstad and Caden Dahl running. 

Casidi Pehler took second in the pole vault for the Arcadia girls while also running on the second-place 800 relay as well as the third-place 1600 relay. 

Kianna Suchla was also in on both relay races while taking third in the 300 hurdles. Sky Reit also ran in the relays and took third in the high jump. Jacy Boberg was the fourth runner on both relay teams. Tegan Michalak added a third-place finish in the 1600.
