All-DC wrestling team announced

Half of the Dairyland Conference champion Whitehall wrestling team made the All-Dairyland Conference team, which was announced recently.

The Norse went 4-0 in duals, clinching the conference title in the final dual with a win over Blair-Taylor, which finished 2-1. Independence/Gilmanton was 1-3 and Cochrane-Fountain City finished 0-3.

Named to the All-DC team for Whitehall were Dylan Moats (106, 3-0), Alex Katzman (120, 3-0), Connor Gleeson (138, 3-0), Brekken Kulig (145, 1-1), Eric Kleinhans (160, 3-0), Liam Herrick (220, 3-0) and Wylie Dunn (285, 2-1). 

Herrick was one of four wrestlers from the conference to advance to the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association State Tournament, the others were also All-DC picks with B-T’s Logan Shramek (195, 3-0) and both Julian Spriggle (126, 3-0) and Zach Foley (132, 3-0) getting the conference nods before advancing to the state tournament. Shramek finished second at the state tournament and Foley was fourth, while Spriggle and Herrick did not place. 

Shramek was one of five B-T wrestlers on the All-DC team the others included Colton Lejcher (113, 3-0), Noah Shepherd (170, 3-0), Matthew Betker (182, 3-0) and Chris Rogstad (285, 3-0). 

Three I/G wrestlers also earned honors as Gabe Rombalski (106, 1-2), Alex Risler (145, 2-0) and Ethan Severson (152, 3-0) were named to the team.
