A/P teams sweep DC meet at Whitehall

The teams from Alma/Pepin came away with the top scores at the Dairyland Conference Central meet in Whitehall last week Monday.

The Whitehall boys finished just two points behind the A/P teams, but both A/P teams dominated the throwing events, taking at least three of the top four spots in both the boys and girls shot put and discus.

Jonathan Thorn, Ben Mohan and Kevin Carroll all had a hand in two first-place finishes for Whitehall. Thorn won the 400 and the triple jump while Carroll won the 1600, Mohan won the high jump and both ran on the winning 1600 relay team. Joaquin Rodriguez won the 1600 relay while Cristobal Aguilar took the long jump title.

Michael Onstad won the 3200 run for the I/G boys.

The I/G girls finished 11 points behind A/P.

Alanna Severson won both the pole vault and triple jump for the Indees while Gracie Lopez took the 100, Ziy Conner won the 100 hurdles and  Marta Saldana Lopez won the 800. The Indees also won the 400 realy. 

The Whitehall girls team won the 1600 relay.
