Arcadia’s Teske, Blaschko garner All-Coulee first-team honors

Ted Teske of Arcadia was a first-team All-Coulee Conference selection on both offense and defense.

Arcadia’s Ted Teske turned himself into an impact player on both sides of the ball for the Raiders throughout the course of his high school football career. As a reward for his efforts, he capped off his senior season with all-conference first-team honors on offense and defense.

Teske was named to the All-Coulee first team as both a wide receiver and defensive back, improving upon the second-team honors he received as a defensive back as a junior. This season, Teske was Arcadia’s top receiving threat with 655 yards and nine touchdowns while averaging 16.4 yards per reception.

Defensively, Teske led the Raiders in total tackles (100), solo tackles (69) and interceptions (3).

Arcadia junior Max Blaschko joined Teske on the All-Coulee first team as a running back following a campaign where he put up 1,099 yards and nine touchdowns on 6.0 yards per carry. Blaschko also garnered a second-team selection as a defensive lineman/end.

Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau senior Kyle Seiling found his way onto the All-Coulee second team thanks to a final fall with the Red Hawks where he racked up 682 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 5.3 yards per carry. G-E-T senior Cale Pickering was a second-team selection as an offensive lineman.

Seiling and Pickering were also all-conference honorable mentions at defensive back and defensive end, respectively.

In 2023, Seiling was the Coulee Conference Co-Player of the Year after being unanimously picked to the first team as a running back and also being named to the second team as a defensive back.

This year’s crop of all-conference honorable mentions included senior linebacker Max Sobotta for Arcadia, and the senior group of tight end Jackson Burns, linebacker Gunnar Johnson, Seiling and Pickering for the Red Hawks.

West Salem senior running back Luke Baginski was named the 2024 Coulee Conference Player of the Year, while his fellow West Salem senior Trevor Arentz earned the distinction of Lineman of the Year.

Though a pair of Panthers got the Coulee’s top individuals honors, it was the Aquinas Blugolds who won the conference championship with a perfect 7-0 league record, including a pivotal 20-18 win at West Salem in Week 8.

The Panthers followed in second in the Coulee standings with a 6-1 conference record. Onalaska Luther was third at 5-2, Arcadia and Westby tied for fourth at 3-4, Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau went 2-5 to take sixth, and both Black River Falls and Viroqua tied for seventh at 1-6.
