Two for two: Arcadia softball starts perfect
Dave Bjorge stepped away from the Arcadia High School softball program in 2023, but the longtime Raider is back at the helm for the 2024 season.
Bjorge is back, and the early indications of his return last week look promising as Arcadia opened the year with a pair of wins.
The Raiders took down Viroqua (0-2, 0-2 Coulee Conference) last Friday at home before doubling their win total by taming Onalaska (0-1 this season) the following day at Arcadia High School.
A three-piece of away games awaits the Raiders this week beginning with a visit to play the Independence/Gilmanton co-op on Monday and a trip to Fall Creek on Tuesday.
Arcadia gets its second taste of Coulee softball on Friday, this time against defending conference champion Westby.
Arcadia finished the 2023 season 5-16.
Arcadia 9 Viroqua 3

Arcadia 6 Onalaska 4
A late push from Onalaska came up short against Arcadia on Saturday.
