Area players named to All-DC net team
One volleyball player from the Times coverage area was named to the All-Dairyland Conference First Team and three more earned second team honors.
The teams were officially announced last week with Nylah Lisowski of Whitehall earning first-team honors. She helped the Norse go 4-6 in DC play on the season, one of three teams to tie for sixth place in the conference.
Another one of the sixth-place teams landed two players on the All-DC second team as Madison Goodbear and Lindsay Steien of Blair-Taylor were second-team picks. Joining them was Aubrie Pronschinske of Independence.
Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran won the conference with a 10-0 record followed by Cochrane-Fountain City, 9-1; Alma/Pepin, 7-3; Eleva-Strum and Augusta, 6-4; Alma Center Lincoln, B-T and Whitehall, 4-6; Melrose-Mindoro, 3-7; Independence, 2-8 and Gilmanton, 0-10.
Other first team members include: Lyda Alme, Chloe Evers, A/P; Chayce Rollinger, Vanessa Smith, C-FC; Grace Clark, E-S; Annie Oster, Claire Schierenbeck, Faith Kazemba and Riley Naumann, ECIL.
Other second team members include: Kennedy Korger, Augusta; Mckinlee Northrump, C-FC; Madison Schultz, E-S; Lydia Evans, Gilmanton; Allie Schierenbeck, ECIL; Miah Breheim, ACL and Ella Tracey, Mel-Min.
