B-T boys sixth at Cashton XC meet

With two top-10 finishers, the Blair-Taylor boys cross country team finished sixth in the season-opening Cashton Invitational on Saturday.

Kristoffer Sandal was fourth and Delorean Peterson took seventh overall for the Wildcats as they scored 147 team points. The B-T girls team also competed, but did not have enough runners to field a complete team. 

The Wildcats are scheduled to run again on Thursday at Cochrane-Fountain City.

The field proved to be competitive as the B-T boys finished sixth.

Sandal’s time was a minute slower than meet champion Dylan Powell’s of Brookwood then Peterson crossed 39 seconds later and in seventh place. The next B-T runner to finish was Jacob Olson, who was 38th followed by Ryan Flynn, 42nd and Anthony Oldendorf rounded out the scoring by taking 67th overall. Ben Kidd and Riley Gunderson both raced for B-T finishing 79th and 86th, respectively.

Emmalee Johnson led the B-T girls, taking 46th while Kelsey Lien was 61st and Ella Halverson finished 62nd.
