B-T boys third, Whitehall fourth at Mondovi meet
The Blair-Taylor boys cross country team had three runners finish inside the top 20 as they took third in the team standings at the Mondovi Invitational last week Tuesday.
The Wildcats ran close together as they had four runners finish between 16th and 21st, led by Delorean Peterson. Jacob Olson finished 17th, Anthony Oldendorf was 20th and Ole Heuer was 21st. Ryan Flynn was next on the team and 40th overall while Riley Gunderson finished 54th.
Kevin Carroll led Whitehall, taking fourth out of 70 runners in the meet. Ben Mohan was second on the team and 24th overall while Nolan Thompson was 32nd; Matt Poulos, 34th; Michael Spare, 38th; Brayden Lisowski, 39th and Payton Thompson, 42nd.
Independence/Gilmanton had three runners as Michael Onstad took 12th, Kevin Halvorson was 49th and Clay Herdahl finished 66th.
I/G was the only area school to have a complete girls team as they finished sixth in the meet.
Leah Sylla and Kia Back led the team, taking 13th and 14th. Bianca Najera finished 39th followed by Andi Laehn, 41st and Hannah Gierok, 45th.
B-T was one runner short of qualifying for the team standings. Kenzie Brandenburg finished 15th, Samantha Kidd took 24th, Ella Halverson, 26th and Emmalee Johnson, 35th.
