B-T swept in WIAA opener

It was a quick exit from postseason play for the Blair-Taylor volleyball team, as they were swept in their Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Division Three opener.

Second-seeded Cochrane-Fountain City made quick work of the third-seeded Wildcats, advancing the Pirates to a regional semifinal they would also win over Melrose-Mindoro on Saturday. B-T resumed their previously scheduled Dairyland Conference slate on Tuesday, which continues into next week as well.

The Wildcats were scheduled to host Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran on Tuesday, before traveling to Alma Center Lincoln High School on Thursday. Their final scheduled game is this coming Monday, as they travel to Gilmanton. B-T is 3-6 overall on the season, including this week’s postseason loss.
