B-T teams win home XC meet
The Blair-Taylor cross country teams both took first on their home course in a three-team meet held last Thursday.
The B-T boys took the top three finishes and had seven of the first eight runners cross as they scored 15 points. They were the only team with enough runners to qualify for a team score.
Delorean Peterson took first (19:21) in the 11-runner field followed by Jacob Olson (20:05) and Ole Heuer (20:19). After Independence/Gilmanton’s Michale Onstad (20:20) took fourth, three more B-T runners crossed including Anthony Oldendorf (21:22), Ryan Flynn (22:48) and Armoni Samples (23:30).
Kevin Halvorson took eighth (23:33) for I/G while Clay Herdahl was 11th (27:36).
I/G’s Kia Back (22:49) topped the girls 16-runner field, but the Indees didn’t have enough runners to qualify for a team score, while B-T took four of the next five places.
