B-T volleyball sweeps C-FC to start DC play
The Blair-Taylor volleyball team went to Buffalo County twice last week and brought home wins each time, including a sweep of Cochrane-Fountain City to open Dairyland Conference competition.
Competition didn’t get off to a good start for the Wildcats as they lost their first set to Mondovi. That was the first set B-T had lost all season, but the team responded by winning three straight sets for the 3-1 match win. B-T had some close moments against C-FC on Thursday, but the Wildcats came through in the clutch each time to earn the sweep.
The wins put B-T at 8-0 on the season and 19-1 in all sets. That was before Tuesday’s home match against Augusta. On Saturday, B-T will head to Black River Falls for a tournament, and it will return home for a match against Eleva-Strum next Tuesday.
