Bangor hands Red Hawk boys first loss

One of the top teams in the state handed the Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau High School boys basketball team its first loss of the 2021-22 season last Monday.

Bangor stormed to a 46-point first half and kept the pressure on in the second half, downing the visiting Red Hawks 80-51.

G-E-T, now 3-1 on the season, was scheduled to host West Salem last Thursday, but the game was postponed after inclement weather canceled school for the Red Hawks. G-E-T visited Holmen on Monday.

Junior Brady Seiling added 12 points for G-E-T as the Red Hawks shot 33 percent from the field and went six-for-12 at the free-throw line.
