When you went to an Arcadia girls basketball game this winter, you could almost always bank on at least one thing: Tatum Drazkowski recording a double-double.
Drazkowski solidified herself as one of the Coulee Conference’s top players and a dominant force in the post for the Raiders by averaging 15.1 points and a conference-leading 11.8 rebounds per game during her sophomore season.
Her standout campaign earned her the honor of being one of five players named to the All-Coulee first team at the conclusion of the winter. Drazkowski, who was a second-team selection as a freshman, posted double-doubles in 15 of Arcadia’s 25 games this year.
West Salem senior Megan Johnson was named the Coulee Player of the Year for a second straight season as she helped guide the Panthers to a 12-0 league record, pushing their active streaks to five consecutive conference championships and 40 straight wins in Coulee play.
Johnson, who will continue her basketball career at Division II Winona State University, averaged 19.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.1 steals per game. Additionally for West Salem, junior Josie Brudos earned a first-team spot after averaging 13.7 points and 2.5 steals per game.
Onalaska Luther seniors Macie Neumeister and Allie Zittel rounded out this year’s All-Coulee first team. Neumeister, a commit to play at Division III UW–Platteville, averaged 14.0 points and 4.0 steals per game for the Knights. Zittel posted 11.1 points and 2.8 steals per game this season.
Arcadia sophomore Madison Grotjahn was among those who made the All-Coulee second team. Grotjahn recorded 9.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game to set the pace for the Raider backcourt at point guard.
Joining Grotjahn on the all-conference second team were Black River Falls senior Isabella Falcon, Viroqua freshman Allyah Schwem, Westby senior Erin Gluch and West Salem senior Sydney Quick.
Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau junior Lexi James was on the list of All-Coulee honorable mentions
