Eagles fly away from Indees

The Independence/Gilmanton football team made the game interesting early, but couldn’t slow down the defending Dairyland Conference champions.

The Indees scored in the first quarter to make the score 16-6, but the Eagles kept scoring. Alma/Pepin put up 24 points in the second quarter and 14 more in the third to break the game wide open and remain undefeated on the season.

The loss dropped I/G to 0-4 on the season and 0-2 in Dairyland Conference competition. They’ll play another 0-2 DC team, Melrose-Mindoro on the road this week. The Mustangs are 1-3 on the season and coming off a 22-21 loss to Eleva-Strum.
