G-E-T boys, girls first in Tomah

Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau boys and girls track finished first among a field of three schools in Tomah last week.

The Red Hawk girls took 11 individual event wins, while the boys took six wins to lead a field that also included competitors from Tomah and Aquinas.

Their next scheduled meet is this Thursday, as they travel to La Crosse Logan.

G-E-T had 10 different competitors take their 11 wins across the girls field, led by Quinn Wenthe’s wins on high jump and 300 hurdles.

Also securing the top placement in their events were Kylie Schmitz in the discus throw, Mikayla Wright in shot put, Caden Miralles in triple jump, Lucy Jumbeck in the pole vault, Gracelyn Shanley in the 100, Kaylee Hauge in the 400, Adrianna Rotering in the 3200 and the 1600 relay team.

For the Red Hawk boys, Will Thompson led the winning effort with top scores in the triple jump, high jump and 110 hurdles. Garret Towner took the top spot in the pole vault, while Luke Vance won the 100 and the 1600 relay team also finished first.
