G-E-T girls beat BRF

The Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau girls basketball team earned its fifth win of the season last week by taking down the Black River Falls Tigers.

The Red Hawks (5-15, 4-6 Coulee Conference) also played at Arcadia on Friday (see story elsewhere in sports).

G-E-T coach John Schmidtknecht t said his team has improved greatly this season, and that growth was evident last week.

“I’m very proud of what their growth has been. I think they’re really stepping up and I think there’s good things happening at the end of the season here. We’ve just got to keep our patience with the whole game and do the right things.”

Conference-leading West Salem was set to visit G-E-T this Tuesday before the Red Hawks travel to Westby this Friday.
