G-E-T net team drops two in CC play
The Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau volleyball team struggled in Coulee Conference competition with two losses last week.
The Red Hawks were swept by Viroqua last week Tuesday and then by West Salem last Thursday. On Saturday, G-E-T went 1-5 in a tournament at La Crosse Logan. Scores and statistics for the Viroqua match and Logan tournament were not reported to the Times.
G-E-T began the final week of the regular season with a 4-26 overall record and 0-10 in Coulee Conference action. The team played at Black River Falls on Tuesday and at home against Onalaska Luther on Thursday.
Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association play begins this coming Tuesday, but tournament pairings had not been announced as of Monday of this week.

The Red Hawks struggled to get anything going against the top team in the Coulee Conference.
West Salem came into the match undefeated in conference action and 19-5 overall. They looked the part, winning two of the sets by more than 15 points.
Amara Brantner led G-E-T at the net with seven kills while Taryn Leighty had six set assists. Laela Schmitt had two aces.
