G-E-T secures second win

Shayna Kirkey scored a career best 22 points and the Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau High School girls basketball team earned its second win of the season on Friday. 

The Red Hawks edged Black River Falls 43-39 on the road to improve to 2-2 in Coulee Conference play and 2-9 overall. The Tigers (0-8, 0-4) were led by 12 points from Emma Blount. 

Mississippi Valley Conference foe Tomah (4-7 this season) was set to host G-E-T this Monday before the Red Hawks travel to Luther (4-7, 3-1) on Thursday.
