G-E-T teams sweep B-T track meet
The boys and girls track and field teams from Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau both came out on top at the Lien/Anderson Invitational at Blair-Taylor last Tuesday.
The G-E-T girls team scored 163.5 points, easily clearing the rest of the field. Eleva-Strum was second with 96 points followed by Alma Center Lincoln, 88.5; Durand-Arkansas, 77.5; Augusta, 70, Blair-Taylor, 66; and Whitehall, 60.5. The G-E-T boys scored 145 points, 12 better than second-place Eleva-Strum. D-A was third with 91 points, just ahead of Whitehall’s 87 points and B-T’s 84. Alma Center Lincoln was sixth with 52 points and Augusta scored 19.
Freshman Kinley Giemza won both the 400- and 200-meter dashes for G-E-T with times of 1:02.75 and 27.56. The Red Hawks also had the second-place finishes in both races as Claire Breidenbach was the runner-up in the 400 with a time of 1:04.46 and Jayden Thill was second in the 200, finishing in 28.22.
G-E-T also had the top two finishers in the 800 run as Alyssa Pett won the race with a time of 2:47.70, just ahead of Sydney Nelson who finished in 2:54.23.
The Red Hawks took the top spot in the 400 relay as the quartet of Charlee McCutchen, Nadiah Becker, Anna Holley, and Dalila Palmer finished in 56 seconds. Three of the four also ran on the second-place 800 relay team with Margo Foust replacing Palmer. Foust was also second in the 300 hurdles. McCutchen added a third-place finish in the triple jump.
Mikah Vail cruised to wins in both the 100 and 200 for the G-E-T boys, finishing with times of 11.01 and 52.25.
The Red Hawks took the top two spots in the 1600 as Adrian Bautista won the race in 4:42.18 and Connor McDonnell was second in 5:01.69. The school’s 400-relay team topped the field with a time of 52.86 as Ethan Aschenbrenner, Logan Gehri, Kenneth Rach, and Logan Ridolfo ran on the squad.
Chase Repaal won the shot put with a distance of 46-3.5 and he was the runner-up in the discus with a distance of 150-1. Kyle Oliver added a second-place finish in the 200 (24.86) as did Carter Giemza in the 800 (2:05), Mitch Caya in the triple jump (35-9.5), and Sawyer Foust in the 300 hurdles (44.84).
The Whitehall boys team had two first-place finishes in individual events and another in a relay.
The 3200 relay team of Ashton Hanson, Evander Peterson, Gage Garbers, and Kole Kulig topped the field with a time of 9:28.26. Aidan Evans won the 110 hurdles (16.46) and Alex Semb topped the 200 field (24.26). Kulig added a second-place finish in the 400 (56.2) and Semb ran one leg of the second-place 800 team (1:37.06), joining Devin Hutsell, Mason Przybylla, and Kivin Juresh.
Colby Santos was the runner up in the long jump (17-4.25) and took third in the 300 hurdles (48.17). Whitehall’s 400 relay team of Kamerion Twyman, Weylin Stenberg, Krue Frei, and Eli Washkun took second with a time of 54.41.
The Whitehall girls team won the 800 relay with Sophie Edge, Hadley Kulig, Avvia Herman, and Aryana Ausderau, finishing in 1:55.5. Paige Lisowski won the shot put with a throw of 31-2. Herman added a second-place finish in the long jump (14-5.25).
Alex Syluga had a hand in three first-place finishes for the B-T boys team. He won the 800 with a time of 2:04.32, and ran on both the winning 800- and 1600-relay teams. He was joined by Collin Johnson, Billy Miller, and Connor Kruse on both teams as the 800 team finished with a time of 1:35.78 and the 1600 team won with a time of 3:40.75.
B-T’s 3200 relay team of Caiden Lien, Jonathan Aguilar, Landen Kidd, and Robbie Brandt finished second with a time of 10:03.39.
The top finisher for the B-T girls team was Charlyse Horton who was second in the triple jump with a distance of 30-7.5. Brenna Thorson took third in the shot put, throwing 30-11.5.
Guardado, Pronschinske lead Raiders at Willard Hanson Invite

Arcadia juniors Jorge Guardado and Trevor Pronschinske played a role in nearly all the points the Raider track and field team scored at their lone meet last week.
The Raider boys posted 29 points to place seventh overall in the team standings at last Thursday’s Willard Hanson Invitational hosted by Central High School in La Crosse. Chippewa Falls finished atop the boys’ standings with 181.5 points and West Salem was second with 160.
Guardado placed second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.34 seconds, while Pronschinske came in third in the triple jump with his best leap of 38 feet, 2 inches and fifth in the 400-meter dash by crossing the finish line in 54.61 seconds.
Pronschinske and Guardado were also part of a team alongside senior Alec Conrad and junior David Escalera that put up a time of 3:50.45 to take fifth in the 1,600-meter relay.
Arcadia also received points by senior Matthew Badillo and Conrad finishing sixth and seventh, respectively, in the 800-meter run and Conrad also placing seventh in the 1,600-meter run.
The Raider girls were 11th in the team standings with nine points. Eau Claire Memorial was first and Chippewa Falls followed in second with 135 and 116.5 points, respectively.
For Arcadia, senior Malania Tullius placed fourth in the pole vault by clearing the bar at 8 feet, 6 inches and senior Jaylie Dahl was fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.07 seconds.
The team of sophomore Kalani Vazquez, senior Hermione Carreon, freshman Claire Schank and Dahl finished in second with a time of 59.80 seconds in the 400-meter throwers relay, though points were not awarded for that event.
The Raiders will next compete in the 2026 Coulee Conference Championship Meet on Saturday starting at 10 a.m. at G-E-T High School.
