G/M third at Richland Center
The Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau/Melrose-Mindoro High School wrestling co-op wrestled to a third place finish at a Richland Center Invitational last Saturday despite missing three of the team’s starting wrestlers.
Team scores for the event weren’t reported. G-E-T/Mel-Min wrestled at Tomah on Tuesday.
Tanner Andersen won at 138 pounds on Saturday, finishing the day 11-0 and was joined by teammate Bradyn Lockington as a champion after Lockington went 8-3 at 220 pounds.
Jackson Blaken finished second at 132 pounds with a 5-6 record, and teammate Justice Vaaler finished second at 195 pounds with a 5-1 record.
Scott Johnson finished 0-7 and A.J. Willette finished 3-6.
Hayden Fry went 7-6, Terek Fry went 6-6, and Scott Johnson finished 0-7. Colin Niederkorn finished 3-7, Ben Peterson went 6-5, Alex Wieczorek went 2-7 and Thomas Haney went 6-6.
