G/M wrestlers begin season with dual wins
The Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau/Melrose-Mindoro wrestling co-op rang in the 2024-25 season in dominant fashion, comfortably winning a pair of duals at a multi-dual event held last Thursday at Logan High School in La Crosse.
The Titans are back in action at a home quad hosted at Melrose-Mindoro High School on Thursday, followed by a weekend tournament Friday and Saturday at the Woodside Wisconsin Dells Center Dome.
G/M 66 Tomah 18
After Tomah got forfeit wins at 106 and 113 pounds, there was an almost endless barrage of G-E-T/Melrose-Mindoro pinfall victories in their dual with the Timberwolves.

Tomah finally broke the streak thanks to Cameron Finch’s pinfall victory over Marek Windsor in the 150-pound match, but that was followed by G-E-T/Mel-Min wrestlers getting another slew of pinfall wins in five consecutive weight classes: Gunnar Johnson (157 pounds), Landon Windsor (165), Braden Peterson (175), Hunter Lefler (190) and Aaron Dunigan (215).
The Titans also got six final points via a forfeit at 285 pounds.
