GMC tops Arcadia in CC gymnastics
The Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau/Melrose-Mindoro/Cochrane-Fountain City gymnastics team scored a Coulee Conference victory over a shorthanded Arcadia team on Thursday.
The Red Hawks scored 128.45 points, having the best score in all four events against a Raiders squad that had just three gymnasts, scoring a 72.25.
Abigail Miller had the top all around score with a 35.4 with a 9.175 on the floor, 8.9 on the beam, 8.85 on the vault and 8.475 on the bars.
Paris Lambert scored an 8.975 on the floor, 8.7 on the vault, 7.575 on the beam and 5.675 on the bars for an all-around mark of 30.925.
Ellayna Christopherson scored a 28.3 with an 8.1 on the vault, 7.65 on the floor, 7.125 on the bars and 5.425 on the beam.
GMC also got a 7.6 on the floor, 7.575 on the beam and 7.4 on the bars from Katie Pierson while Trista Thill scored an 8.0 on the vault, 7.3 on the bars and 6.9 on the beam.
Arcadia was led by Nora Bergerson, who scored a 29.9 with an 8.375 on the floor, 8.0 on on the vault, 6.825 on the beam and 6.7 on the bars.
Itzel Hernandez scored a 6.575 on the beam, 6.5 on the vault, 3.425 on the bars and a 5.75 on the floor.
Litzabeth Alejo scored a 5.975 on the beam, 5.45 on the floor, 5.25 on the vault and 3.425 on the bars.
Arcadia competed in a quadrangular in Menomonie on Tuesday and will compete in a meet in Holmen on Saturday.
GMC competed in a meet at Mount Horeb on Saturday.
GMC gymnasts place second

The Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau/Melrose-Mindoro/Cochrane-Fountain City High School gymnastics team placed second in the Division Two bracket at a tournament at Mount Horeb High School last Saturday.
The team finished with an overall score of 132.1. Individual event scores were not immediately available.
G-E-T is set to continue competition at an invitational meet at Holmen on Saturday.
