Indee girls second, Norse boys third at Buffalo invitational

The Indendence/Gilmanton girls cross country team had three top-10 finishers as they took second in the Mondovi Buffalo Invitational last week Tuesday.

Taylor Sylla led the team, taking fifth overall, one spot ahead of Gracie Rombalski. Kia Back was 10th, Leah Sylla, 11th; Angie Martinez, 17th; Bianca, Najera, 18th and Andi Laehn, 19th.

The Indees scored 43 points, behind meet champion C-FC’s 24 and ahead of Elk Mound.

The Whitehall boys scored 67 points, good for third place, led by Titus Buhl’s 14th-place finish. Brayden Lisowski finished 18th, Nolan Thompson, 19th; Matthew Poulos, 23rd; Oriah An-derson, 25th; Ashton Hanson, 29th and Theodore Mikesell, 30th.
