Indee wrestlers topped by Dragons

Independence/Gilmanton won all three matches wrestled in a forfeit-filled 30-15 loss to Osseo-Fairchild/Augustua/Fall Creek last week Tuesday.

Gabe Pietrek (120) pinned Cayden Guntner to give I/G a 6-0 lead after double forfeits at 106 and 113 pounds. After another double forfeit at 126 pounds, I/G’s Francisco Sanchez (132) pinned Sullivan Haskins, putting the Indees ahead 12-0.

Forfeits at 138 and 145 pounds tied the dual, followed by a double forfeit at 152 pounds. Ethan Severson (160) put the Indees back ahead with a 12-9 win over Hunter Breaker, but the Indees didn’t have any more wrestlers available.

Kaden Moseley (182), Luke Fischer (220) and Isaiah Waggoner (285) all received forfeits along with double forfeits at 170 and 195 pounds, to give the O-F co-op the win.

The 1-2 Indees were scheduled to host Durand on Tuesday of this week before going to Blair-Taylor next week Thursday.
