Indees beat Eagles in last regular season game

The Independence boys basketball team finished the regular season with a road win last week.

The Indees battled past Alma/Pepin for a 52-50 win in Alma on Thursday to finish the regular season. No further statistics or information from the game was reported ahead of press time.

The win put Independence’s final regular season record at 7-15 and 5-9 in Dairyland Conference play, third in the Small Division behind Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran (10-4) and Blair-Taylor (14-0).

Independence began Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association with a familiar opponent on Tuesday of this week as the 10th-seeded Indees played seventh-seeded Eleva-Strum. 

The winner of that game will play the winner of the game between (15) Coulee Christian and (2) Blair-Taylor on Friday with the regional final scheduled for Saturday.
