Indees fall to Wolves

Offense was a struggle for the Independence girls basketball team in a 46-31 loss to Plum City/Elmwood last week Tuesday.

The Indees were in the game for a half, but their offense struggled throughout the game as the Wolves pulled away for the win.

The loss dropped the Indees to 6-11 overall and they sat at 3-3 in Dairyland Conference play before Tuesday’s home game against Blair-Taylor. Independence will play at Eleva-Strum on Friday before welcoming Black River Falls this coming Monday.

Independence’s defense managed to keep the score close in the first half as they trailed by just six at 18-12. The teams continued to battle in the second half, but Independence’s offense continued to struggle.

Callie Zastrow led the Indees with 10 points.
