The Independence boys basketball team had a tough time getting the ball in the basket in two losses last week.

The Indees managed just 11 points in the second half of a 73-37 loss to Melrose-Mindoro last week Tuesday. On Friday, they lost to Augusta 70-45, but no additional information from that game was reported before press time.

Independence (1-10, 0-4) hit the road this week, playing at Black River Falls on Tuesday and in Blair-Taylor on Thursday. This coming Monday, they head to Cochrane-Fountain City before hosting Eleva-Strum on Tuesday.
