Norse fall to I/G, A/P
The Whitehall volleyball team was close to one win, but ended up losing a pair of matches to Dairyland Conference co-op programs.
Whitehall actually scored more total points than Independence/Gilmanton last week Tuesday, but the Indees won three close sets for a 3-2 match win (see story elsewhere in Sports). The Norse were home again on Friday and got off to a strong start, winning the first set against Alma/Pepin, but then dropped three straight.
The losses dropped Whitehall to 6-8 on the season before Tuesday’s game at Melrose-Mindoro. The team hosts Alma Center Lincoln on Thursday then heads to Cochrane-Fountain City next Tuesday.
