Norse golfers third in DC two meets
The Dairyland Conference golf season has been competitive so far as the top two teams are separated by just two points after three meets.
Defending champion Cochrane-Fountain City currently has the lead with 34 points, but Alma/Pepin won a competition last week — after C-FC swept DC play last season — and sits two points back. The Whitehall golf team is third overall with 22 points after finishing as the second runner-up in two competitions last week, Eleva-Strum has 20 points followed by Augusta (12) and Independence/Gilmanton (six). I/G has had just two golfers in conference competitions so far.
The teams will be back in action on Friday when they play in Mondovi for a meet hosted by I/G. They’re set to play in Whitehall this coming Tuesday and in Arcadia next Thursday.
