The Arcadia softball team struggled on both ends as they were outscored 31-3 in three games last week.

The Raiders managed just one run and six hits total as they were swept by Westby, 10-0 and 11-1, last week Tuesday. It didn’t get much better on Friday when they lost to La Crosse Aquinas, 10-2. No further information from the Aquinas game was reported to the Times.

Arcadia’s last regular season game was Tuesday when they hosted Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau. On Thursday, the ninth-seeded Raiders travel to (8) Stratford to begin Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association play. The winner of that game will head to (1) Prescott for the regional semifinal round this coming Tuesday.

Bjorge took the loss, striking out three with one walk and 10 hits.

The Raiders struck first, but it was the only run they’d score.

Suchla led off with a single and came around to score on a single by Catherine Pehler. The Raiders had two on in the first inning, but couldn’t score any more runs.

Westby wasted little time taking control of the game. They answered with two runs in the bottom of the first inning, two more in the second, four in the third, two in the fourth and ended the game by the mercy rule with one in the fifth.

Kaitlyn Bremer got the loss for Arcadia, allowing two walks and 13 hits while striking out one.
