Raiders swept by Westby in CC match

Arcadia had a difficult time getting its offense going in a three-set loss to Westby on Thursday.

After losing the first two sets by nine points, Arcadia came close to extending the match, but lost the third set by two.

The loss dropped Arcadia to 1-9 on the season and 0-5 in Coulee Conference play. They played at Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau on Tuesday of this week and will host Black River Falls on Thursday. This coming Tuesday, they host Onalaska Luther before heading to West Salem on Thursday.

Arcadia struggled in the first two sets and wasn’t able to recover.

The Raiders had a tough time getting their offense going as they scored 16 points in each of the first two sets. They were closer in the third, but still fell short.

While much of their offense struggled, the Raiders got strong serving from Sammy Berg, who registered seven service aces. 

Sky Reit led the team at the net with seven kills and five blocks, while also adding eight digs. Kianna Suchla added five kills and one block, to go with seven digs. Kealey Ziegeweid’s 10 digs led the team. Autumn Passehl had 14 set assists.
